Western Tien-Shan

This site is shared by three countries from where is not very easy to get postcards from. So far, I have two from one of those countries

Tien-Shan

The transnational property is located in the Tien-Shan mountain system, one of the largest mountain ranges in the world. Western Tien-Shan ranges in altitude from 700 to 4,503 m. It features diverse landscapes, which are home to exceptionally rich biodiversity. It is of global importance as a centre of origin for a number of cultivated fruit crops and is home to a great diversity of forest types and unique plant community associations. - in: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1490/

Issyk-Kul Lake
This postcard was sent by Marco

Issyk-Kul is an endorheic lake in the northern Tian Shan mountains in eastern Kyrgyzstan. It is the tenth largest lake in the world by volume (though not in surface area), and the second largest saline lake after the Caspian Sea. Issyk-Kul means "warm lake" in the Kyrgyz language; although it is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, it never freezes. - in: wikipedia

I'm still missing postcards from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
